Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Here you will find answers to some of the questions we often hear.
- Are there any side effects of laser therapy?
- No, there are usually no side effects with laser therapy. It is very gentle and completely painless. However, you should protect your eyes, as the light is very strong. Protective glasses are included with all our lasers. We recommend that you wear them if you use the laser near your eyes.
- Does laser therapy hurt?
- Laser therapy is completely painless. You will typically feel a slight tingling in the skin and muscles, but there is no pain associated with laser therapy.
- How does laser therapy work?
- Laser therapy works by sending low-energy laser light into the body, which penetrates the skin, muscles, and joints, stimulating the cells to heal and function better – without damaging the tissue. Here's what happens in the body:
- The cells receive more energy (ATP)
- The light affects the mitochondria in the cells → they produce more ATP (the cell's "fuel")
- More energy = faster repair and better function
- Reduces inflammation and swelling
- LLLT reduces the body's inflammatory response → less pain, swelling, and redness
- Increases blood circulation
- More blood = more oxygen and nutrients to the area → better healing and less muscle tension
- Pain relief
- The light can block certain pain signals in the nerves and release endorphins (the body's natural painkiller)
- Increasing cell energy
- Accelerating healing
- Reducing inflammation and pain
- Improving blood circulation
- Activating the body's own healing mechanisms
- Muscle pain and tension
- Joint problems and arthritis
- Sports injuries and strain
- Nerve irritation (e.g., carpal tunnel syndrome)
- Skin problems
- Wound healing and scars
- The cells receive more energy (ATP)
- How many laser treatments are needed?
- It depends entirely on what needs to be treated. Many notice an improvement after just a few treatments. Sometimes, repeated sessions are necessary before the laser therapy helps.
- How to use light therapy lamps
- All of our light therapy lamps, including laser therapy and red light therapy pads and products, naturally come with a user manual so you know exactly how to use the products. Some of the products have a rechargeable built-in battery, while others (slightly larger units) must either be connected to a power outlet or a power bank can be used. If you are unsure about how to use Heat Sense products, you are always welcome to call or write to us - Contact us

- Increases blood flow → less stiffness and tension
- Injuries and recovery
- Helps with faster healing of:
- Sprains
- Muscle fiber tears
- Overload
- Sports injuries
- Helps with faster healing of:
- Inflammation
- Reduces swelling and inflammation in tissues and joints
- Beneficial for arthritis, tenosynovitis, etc.
- Nerve pain
- Can relieve e.g. sciatica, carpal tunnel syndrome, neuropathy
- Helps to calm irritated nerves
- Skin and beauty
- Increases collagen production → healthier and firmer skin
- Reduces wrinkles, fine lines, scars and acne
- Helps with rosacea and inflammation of the skin
- Energy and well-being
- Many experience better sleep, more energy and less fatigue
- Stimulates cell metabolism and ATP production
- Muscle and joint pain
- What does laser therapy do for muscles?
- When using our infrared lasers, which are LLLT (Low-Level Laser Therapy), the aim is to stimulate the body's own healing at the cellular level.
- Increases cell energy (ATP production)
- The laser light stimulates the mitochondria (the cell's “power plants”) to produce more ATP.
- This gives the muscles more energy for repair and regeneration.
- Increases blood circulation
- Improved blood flow means more oxygen and nutrients to the muscles, and faster removal of waste products such as lactic acid.
- Reduces inflammation
- The laser light inhibits the release of inflammatory substances and helps to reduce swelling, heat, and pain.
- Minimizes muscle tension
- Especially for chronic tension in the neck, back, or shoulders – many experience muscular relief and relaxation after laser treatment.
- Accelerates healing after injuries
- For example, in the case of sprains, muscle fiber tears, muscle soreness, or strain.
- Can significantly shorten recovery time.
- Increases cell energy (ATP production)
- What does laser therapy do?
- Laser therapy is a form of therapy that uses low-intensity laser light to stimulate the body's cells, helping them to function better and heal faster. It helps with, among other things:
- Faster recovery
- Pain relief
- Faster healing after injuries, strain, wounds, etc.
- Reduced inflammation
- Improves blood circulation
- What does laser therapy feel like?
- Laser therapy is 100% painless and comfortable. You will only feel a slight warmth in the area being treated. In addition, some people experience a mild buzzing/tingling in the skin and muscles, which is completely normal.
- What helps with muscle pain
- If you suffer from muscle pain, light therapy with red and infrared light is an effective, gentle, and natural treatment that helps the body heal faster and reduce pain. Heat Sense Light Therapy uses specific wavelengths of light to:
